Editing Practice
For the editing project I chose to edit a picture of an empty McDonald’s fries container that I found at the Cougar Canyon baseball diamond. The first picture is the original photo. The second picture is a colour picture that I first adjusted the curves on to make the colours bolder, then I went into the colour balance and turned up the blues and greens in the picture to make it look cooler (as opposed to warmer, not as opposed to lamer). In the other colour pictures I did the same thing with the curves and adjusted the colour balance but instead I turned up the yellows and greens in the top picture and the magenta and blues in the one underneath. In the two black and white photos, the one on top is the high contrast one. To create it, I first changed the curves to make the colours brighter, then I used the black and white layer mask to change the image into a black and white one, then I went into the contrast layer mask and made the contrast higher. For the lower contrast picture, I did generally the same thing as the higher contrast one except in the contrast layer mask I made the contrast lower. At the end of each photo I added an unsharp mask to sharpen the picture.
